AM Series signals are high output, continuous-duty amplified speakers designed for industrial signaling and fire alarm applications. AM Series signals draw extremely low power from the audio system while producing clear audio reproduction up to 107 dBA. Each AM Series signal features a rugged speaker cone and a projector constructed from spun aluminum. The amplification, power management, and other internal circuitry are built into a rugged die-cast aluminum housing that is sealed with powder coat paint and includes dust- and moisture-proof gaskets.
Designed for high-quality signaling in harsh environments and areas with high ambient noise, AM Series amplified speakers are approved for indoor and outdoor use and are designed and tested for Type 3R applications. The AM Series uses the speaker-level output of a new or existing audio or fire alarm system to produce high-decibel voice messages or tone signals. Typical applications include emergency warning, plant evacuation, process control, and public address signaling, as well as voice evacuation and mass notification systems. The AM-24R and AM-24G models are UL and ULC Listed and approved for use in fire alarm systems.
AM Series amplified speakers can be connected to either a 25 Vrms or 70 Vrms speaker circuit. The input level is user-selectable using an onboard jumper, eliminating the need for additional modules. The audio output power can also be adjusted by ±3 dB using an onboard jumper, providing a maximum sound pressure level of either 104 dBA or 107 dBA on axis at 10 feet.
AM Series signals are available in 24 VDC and 120 VAC versions. The 24 VDC models are available in red or grey, while the 120 VAC model is available in grey. With high audio output, extremely low current draw, weatherproof construction, and flexible audio input options, the AM Series provides a durable signaling solution for industrial facilities and other demanding environments. These are UL and ULC listed.
